Assessments
Once you have your qualifications in order, you’ll need to pass a series of assessments in order to be considered for a pilot role with Qatar Airways. These assessments include:
-Aptitude Test: You will be required to take an aptitude test to assess your general intelligence and problem-solving skills.
-Psychometric Test: This assessment will measure your personality traits, attitudes, and values.
-Flight Simulator Test: You’ll need to pass a flight simulator test to demonstrate your knowledge of aircraft systems, navigation, and other flight-related topics.
-Technical Interview: You’ll be required to take a technical interview to demonstrate your knowledge of aviation regulations, aircraft systems, and other related topics.
-Medical Tests: You’ll need to pass a series of medical tests to ensure you are fit to fly.
-Background Checks: As with any job, you will need to pass a background check.
Once you have passed all of the assessments, you’ll be given a conditional offer of employment with Qatar Airways.
Training
The final step in the Qatar Airways pilot selection process is the training. Qatar Airways requires all of its pilots to undergo a comprehensive training program to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to operate the aircraft safely. This training includes classroom instruction, simulator sessions, and on-the-job training.

The total cost of the SkyBorne Indigo Cadet Pilot Program is INR 10,290,000 (approximately USD 146,000, based on an exchange rate of 1 US$ = INR 70.0). This amount covers all training phases, including the Flight Licence Conversion in India and a DGCA approved A320 Type Rating, which will be conducted in Abu Dhabi with Etihad Aviation Training Limited. Overseas Health Insurance: Cadets must obtain overseas medical insurance covering one year before commencing training in Arizona, USA, and an additional three-month coverage before their A320 Type Rating. DGCA Class 1 Medical: To qualify as a Commercial Pilot in India, cadets are required to have a Class 1 Medical certificate issued by the Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA). If cadets have not completed these exams, Skyborne collaborates with a reputable training provider in India to facilitate that training. Cadets are selected through a thorough application process via the SkyBorne Pilot Training Academy website. Once selected by Skyborne and IndiGo, you will embark on your pilot training, which consists of three phases:

In the final phase of the program, you will complete a combined Multi-Crew Co-Operation Course (MCC) and DGCA approved Type Rating on the Airbus A320. This Type Rating training will be delivered at an IndiGo Approved Type Rating Provider, equipping you with the necessary skills to operate in a multi-crew environment.
