Cirrus SR22 G6

The Cirrus SR22 G6 is an advanced and reliable single-engine aircraft that is widely used in pilot training. With its modern composite airframe and advanced avionics, it is an ideal choice for ab-initio pilot training, providing students with the perfect platform to learn the basics of flying
The SR22 G6 has a number of key features that make it an excellent training aircraft, including its two large 12” flight displays and flight management system, which provide students with a clear and intuitive interface to manage the aircraft's systems. The aircraft also has advanced safety features such as the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS), which provides a last-resort option for safe recovery in an emergency.
At the Emirates Flight Training Academy, the SR22 G6 is the backbone of the fleet, with a total of 22 aircraft in the fleet. The Cirrus SR22 G6 has an empty weight of 1064.54 kg, a length of 7.90m, a height of 2.70m, a wingspan of 11.65m. The Embraer Phenom 100EV is a state-of-the-art light jet aircraft that is widely used in pilot training. The Emirates Flight Training Academy was one of the launch customers of this aircraft, it considered as an ideal choice for preparing cadets for multi-engine jet operations. The aircraft's advanced avionics and automation systems provide students with a realistic and relevant training experience.
The Phenom 100EV has a number of key features that make it an excellent training aircraft, including its three interchangeable glass displays, state-of-the-art avionics, smart automation systems, and graphical flight planning capabilities. These features allow students to learn the intricacies of flying a multi-engine jet and to develop the skills necessary for flying larger and more complex aircraft.
The Emirates Flight Training Academy's fleet includes five Embraer Phenom 100EV aircraft, with a maximum take-off weight of 4855 kg, a length of 12.82m, a height of 4.35m, and a wingspan of 12.30m. it can cruise at a speed of 406 KTAS and has a range of 2.182km.

What this course includes

In addition to the subjects mentioned above, the course at Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) also includes training in human performance, navigation, flight planning, and flight operations. You will also learn about the different systems and components of an aircraft, including its engines, electrical systems, and avionics.As you progress through the course, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through flight simulation and actual flight training. The use of advanced simulators allows you to practice different flight scenarios and conditions in a safe and controlled environment. This prepares you for the real-world challenges of flying and helps you to develop the necessary skills and confidence to become a professional pilot.

After completing the course and passing the written tests, you will be eligible to apply for a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) on a multi-engine aircraft with Instrument Rating. EFTA also has the unique opportunity to interview for first officer roles with Emirates Airline, which is one of the largest international Airlines in the world, this will provide you a kick-start to your career as a pilot.

ATPL Integrated Programme

Once you have successfully completed the ground school phase, you will move on to the flight training phase. This phase includes both single-engine and multi-engine flight training, where you will learn how to fly the Cirrus SR22 G6 and Embraer Phenom 100EV aircrafts respectively. You will also receive training in multi-crew coordination (MCC) and Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) which will prepare you for the operational environment of a commercial airline.
The Integrated ATPL training is a full-time program which runs for 24 months, including the ground school, flight training, and the MCC and LOFT. Successful graduates will obtain a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR). Along with this, they will also have an opportunity to be interviewed by Emirates after graduation, as direct entry to the Airline.

Ground School

Single-Engine flight training
- Duration: 30 weeks

During the Single-Engine flight training, you will learn to fly a single-engine aircraft and master the basic flying techniques. Multi Engine flight training
- Duration: 20 weeks

During the MultiEngine flight training, you will learn to fly a multiengine aircraft and gain a deeper understanding of the advanced concepts of flight, navigation and systems management. The training will involve a combination of classroom instruction and flight training, with a focus on hands-on experience.
MCC & LOFT
- Duration: 10 weeks
- Location: Simulator
- Requirements: Successful completion of multiengine flight training
MCC (Multi Crew Cooperation) and LOFT (Line Oriented Flight Training) are designed to prepare you for the challenges of working in a multi-pilot environment. You will learn to work as part of a flight crew, communicate effectively, and manage the aircraft's systems. The training will take place in a simulator, providing you with the opportunity to experience realistic flight scenarios and conditions.

English language assessment

This assessment is designed to evaluate your current level of proficiency in the English language and will help us to determine whether you need any additional training to meet the required standard. The assessments cover all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Upon successful completion of this assessment, you will receive an EFTA ELP TO certificate which is valid for 2 years and may be accepted by other aviation organizations worldwide.

It is important to be prepared for any potential Cadet pilot program vacancies that may become available at airlines such as IndiGo, Air Arabia, Qatar Airways, Emirates, Spice Jet, and Singapore Airlines. Due to the halt in airline vacancies for the past few years due to the pandemic, competition for these positions is likely to be high. Therefore, it is advisable to start preparing early for the various stages of the selection process, including the written exam, Compass/CASS test, psychometry assessment, group discussion/group activity, and panel interview.
