Becoming a pilot after 10th Grade in India
Piloting is a dream job for many, and it is not surprising that so many dream of becoming a pilot after 10th grade in India. The process of becoming a pilot in India is a long, complicated and expensive process, but it is also highly rewarding and fulfilling. In this article, we will outline the steps involved in becoming a pilot after 10th grade in India, including the qualifications and training required, the cost of the training, and the process of obtaining a valid pilot's license.
The first step in becoming a pilot after 10th grade in India is to complete a Bachelor’s degree in either Physics, Mathematics or Aviation. Completion of this degree is essential in order to qualify for pilot training, as it is required by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). After completing a Bachelor’s degree, the next step is to enroll in a pilot’s training program. In India, the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the National Cadet Corps (NCC) are the two main organizations that offer pilot training. The IAF offers various courses, such as the Pilot Training Course (PTC), the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), and the Air Force Flying Training (AFFT). The NCC also offers a pilot training course, which is called the NCC Pilot Training Course (NPTC).
The cost of pilot training varies depending on the type of course chosen. The IAF PTC costs around Rs. 2 lakhs, while the IAF AFCAT costs around Rs. 4 lakhs. The cost of the NCC NPTC is around Rs. 5 lakhs. Apart from the cost of the course, students also need to pay for the aircraft, fuel, and other related expenses.
After completing the pilot training course, the student has to pass the DGCA Pilot’s Examination. This exam tests the student’s knowledge of aircraft systems, flight rules, navigation, and other related topics. After passing the DGCA Pilot’s Examination, the student is awarded with a Commercial Pilot’s License (CPL). A CPL is valid for five years and must be renewed periodically.
Once the student has obtained the CPL, they can then apply for a job with an airline or other aviation-related company. The selection process for these jobs involves an interview and a practical examination. After passing the interview and the practical examination, the student is then employed as a pilot.
In conclusion, becoming a pilot after 10th grade in India is a long, complicated and expensive process. However, with dedication and hard work, it is possible to become a pilot. The qualifications and training required, the cost of the training, and the process of obtaining a valid pilot’s license are all outlined in this article. With the right qualifications and training, anyone can become a pilot in India.
