The type rating examination is conducted by the local aviation authority to ensure that the pilot is proficient in the type of aircraft they intend to fly. Written Exam:

The written exam for the A-320 type rating is divided into four main sections: Airframes, Systems, Performance and Regulations. Each section consists of multiple choice questions and is designed to assess the pilot’s knowledge and understanding of the aircraft systems, operation and regulations.

Airframes: This section covers the construction of the aircraft and its components including fuselage, wings, tail, engines, and landing gear. It also covers the aircraft’s weight and balance and the loading of cargo and passengers.
