A-320 Type Rating in Commercial Pilots

An A-320 type rating is a prerequisite for becoming a qualified commercial pilot. The course includes both classroom and simulator training to teach pilots how to operate an A-320 aircraft safely and efficiently in a variety of conditions. To be eligible for the course, pilots must have an FAA ATP certificate, a valid Medical Certificate, and at least 500 hours of multi-engine PIC time. The course consists of a comprehensive ground school and 8-12 hours of simulator training. During the course, pilots will learn about aircraft systems, high-altitude operations, human factors, and emergency procedures. Upon successful completion of the course, pilots will receive an A-320 type rating which will allow them to fly the aircraft commercially. To maintain the rating, pilots must complete recurrent training every six months. Completing an A-320 type rating is an important step for any commercial pilot and is a great way to increase their knowledge and experience.

In order to obtain an A-320 type rating, you must first complete the necessary training. This includes ground training and subject exams. Ground training typically covers topics such as aircraft systems, performance, and aircraft handling. You will also have to take multiple exams to demonstrate your mastery of the material.
