These radio navigation aids, such as VORs (VHF Omnidirectional Ranges), NDBs (Non-Directional Beacons), and DMEs (Distance Measuring Equipment), are still in use today, but GPS has largely replaced them as the primary navigation tool for pilots. GPS provides more accurate and reliable navigation information than the traditional radio navigation aids.
