A Flight Instructor plays an important role in the aviation industry in India. They are responsible for training aspiring pilots and preparing them for their Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL). The Flight Instructor is an experienced and highly qualified individual who is certified to teach aviation knowledge and skills necessary for the successful completion of the CPL.
Flight Instructors are required to have a thorough knowledge of the aircraft and aircraft systems, as well as an understanding of the regulations and procedures governing aviation. They must have the necessary qualifications and experience to teach the theoretical and practical aspects of flying. In India, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is responsible for setting the qualifications and requirements for Flight Instructors.
In order to become a Flight Instructor, an individual must have a valid Commercial Pilot Licence and a minimum of 500 hours of flying experience.
