In order to become a commercial pilot in Europe a person must meet certain qualifications. To be eligible for the EASA training program, an individual must be at least 18 years old, pass a Class 1 medical examination, and possess a valid pilot’s license. The training program includes a minimum of 250 hours of flight time, including 50 hours of solo and at least 10 hours of instrument flight training. Additionally, a person must complete the theoretical knowledge exams and pass the skill test (practical exam) with an EASA-approved examiner.
