How to Get a Commercial Pilot License After 12th in India

Getting a commercial pilot license in India after 12th grade is a long and rigorous process. Generally, a student needs to have a minimum of 12th grade educational qualifications with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects. Once that is completed, the student must have to pass the entrance test conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). After that, the student needs to complete 200 hours of flying training, which can be done at any of the approved flying schools in India. Along with that, the student needs to complete ground studies and pass the exams conducted by the DGCA. After successful completion of the training, the student has to appear for the DGCA exams to get the license. Finally, after clearing all the tests and exams, the student will get the commercial pilot license.

The first step towards a commercial pilot license is to decide which type of license you would like to pursue. There are several types of commercial pilot licenses available, including Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, Multi-Engine Pilot License, Instrument Rating, and Airline Transport Pilot License.
