What are the Qualifications to Become a Pilot in India

In India, to become a commercial pilot, an individual must have a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL). To be eligible to obtain a CPL, an individual must have a minimum of 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. They must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics and a minimum of 60% marks in English. Additionally, the individual must have a valid Class 1 medical certificate from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. The individual must also have a minimum of 200 hours of flying experience, with at least 100 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) time and 5 hours of cross-country PIC time. Lastly, the individual must pass the written examinations and practical tests.
