Are you looking to become a commercial pilot? If so, then you need to complete an A-320 type rating exam. This exam is designed to assess a pilot’s competency to operate the aircraft safely and efficiently. It is important to understand the syllabus and structure of this exam before taking it.
The syllabus for the A-320 type rating exam consists of eight subjects and the topics covered in each of these subjects. The subjects are Aircraft Systems, Human Factors, Performance and Operational Aspects, Air Navigation, Aircraft Operation, Procedures and Techniques, Flight Planning, and Regulations.
The Aircraft Systems subject covers topics such as types of aircraft systems, aircraft components, aircraft structure and how these various components work together to achieve the required performance. It also covers the operation and maintenance of the systems.
The Human Factors subject looks at how people interact with the aircraft, their behaviour and how this can affect the operation. Topics include crew resource management, stress management, fatigue and sleep, and human performance limitations.
The Performance and Operational Aspects subject covers topics such as aircraft performance, operational procedures and techniques, and aircraft weights and balance. It also covers the importance of safety, risk management and emergency procedures.
The Air Navigation subject covers the principles of air navigation, navigation aids, and navigation charts. It also covers the applications of navigation such as route planning, instrument scanning and communication procedures.
The Aircraft Operation, Procedures and Techniques subject covers topics such as the operation of various aircraft systems, the use of aircraft instruments and navigation equipment, aircraft handling, and the principles of flight.
The Flight Planning subject covers topics such as aircraft performance, route planning, navigation and arrival procedures, and aircraft weight and balance.
The Regulations subject covers topics such as aviation laws and regulations, aircraft certification and licensing, aviation safety, and accident investigation.
The A-320 type rating exam is a challenging one, however, if you understand the syllabus and structure of the exam, you will be better prepared to pass it. Make sure to study hard and practice the different questions that you may be asked in the exam. Good luck!
