Golden Epaulettes Aviation's CAE Indigo Cadet Pilot Program, based in Manali, India, is an intensive integrated training course designed to equip aspiring cadet pilots with the skills to obtain a Commercial Pilot License (CPL). This program aims to provide eligible and committed candidates the necessary training to become a professional airline pilot. It caters to the academic requirements as well as practical experience for their chosen career in aviation. Eligibility criteria for this program require applicants to be at least 18 years of age with a valid Class 1 medical certificate. Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent certificate with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
The first stage of the program consists of a 200-hour Ground School and Training. During this phase, cadets will be trained in all aspects of flying, such as flight theory, air regulations, navigation, meteorology, and aviation human factors. The cadets will then move on to the second phase, which is the Simulator Training phase. All cadets must complete 20 hours of simulator training in order to be eligible for the Commercial Pilot License examination conducted by the Director General of Civil Aviation of India. Upon completion of the training process and successfully passing the CPL exam, the cadet will be issued a Commercial Pilot Licence by the DGCA of India.
